INFORMATION ON PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
INTRODUCTION
Marina Punat Hotel & Resort d.o.o., OIB: 24068312530, Kanajt 5, Punat, which provides accommodation services in Hotel Kanajt, Hotel apartments and Holiday homes facilities, would like to provide you with information about the purposes, legal basis and other conditions concerning the processing of personal information.
Marina Punat Hotel & Resort d.o.o. is the controller of the personal data, and pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Act on Implementation of General Directives, and its General Personal Data Protection Policy of the Marina Punat Group, processes and protects your personal data.
PURPOSE OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
Reservation and provision of accommodation services
Accommodation in the premises of Marina Punat Hotel & Resort d.o.o. can be reserved directly on our website or via a reservation platform. When you submit the request for a reservation, we collect only essential data – your name and surname, e-mail address and/or telephone number, and other information needed in order to provide information as to the availability of accommodation units.
The legal basis for this processing is conducting pre-contractual actions at your request. If you do not submit the essential data, we will not be able to respond to your inquiry or request for a reservation.
Once you have reserved your stay in the hotel or other accommodation units, your personal data are processed for the purpose of the provision of accommodation services. This processing includes personal data such as your name and surname, address of residence, data on the service provided, data on the invoice and payment.
The legal basis for this processing is the contract concluded between you as the guest and Hotel Kanajt and the company Marina Punat Hotel & Resort d.o.o. as the controller of the processing, and if you do not provide the necessary data, we will not be able to provide the service.
Also, as per your consent, we also collect and process data pertaining to any special requests you might have concerning special dietary requests, health condition and other data, depending on your needs and wishes. The provision of this additional information is exclusively voluntary and depends on the wishes of each guest.
According to specific national regulations of the Republic of Croatia, we are required to register every guest in the e-Visitor Tourist registration information system. For this purpose, we collect the data contained within the guest’s personal identification document (national ID card or passport), and enter them into the e-Visitor system.
The legal basis for this processing is the legal requirement of the company Marina Punat Hotel & Resort d.o.o., and if you do not provide the necessary personal data, we cannot register you as a guest and provide you services.
Direct marketing, information about new offers, and determining customer satisfaction with our services
We use your e-mail address to send out newsletters about our services, special offers, benefits, discounts and new services we offer, that we think could be interesting and useful to you, as the user of our services.
In this case, we process your data based on our legitimate interest.
You may simply unsubscribe from our newsletter list at any time, by selecting that option at the bottom of every sent newsletter, and newsletters will no longer be sent to you.
If you register for our newsletter as a user of our website, the legal basis for processing your data (contact e-mail address) is the consent you give, which you may retract at any time, and we will then no longer process your data for this purpose.
Through surveys and questionnaires that are available on our website, we collect information about customer satisfaction with our provided services, including the reservation procedure, stay at the hotel, use of additional content, and recommendations on how to improve our services.
This processing is based on your consent, and the provision of this information is exclusively voluntary. You may retract your consent at any time, and request deletion of the data that we have collected in this manner.
Resolution of complaints and replies to inquiries
We also process your information for the purpose of providing all information that you have requested from us, verbally, or via e-mail, the web contact form or telephone. Depending on the type of request, this processing is based on your consent, and may pertain to taking pre-contractual actions regarding your request and fulfilling the rights and responsibilities from our contractual relations (if you have reserved accommodation or were our guest).
As a consumer, you have the right to submit a written complaint concerning the services provided. The data you have submitted to us, and any additional data that we may have requested from you, are processed exclusively for the purpose of resolving your complaint.
The legal basis for processing personal data ensues from the contractual relations, since the complaint is concerning a service provided or the procedure of contracting services.
Video surveillance
Video surveillance has been installed at several locations in Hotel Kanajt and the grounds for the purpose of protection of persons and property. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of the company Marina Punat Hotel & Resort d.o.o.
At every location where video surveillance has been installed, there is a clearly visible notification containing the basic information about data processing.
RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA
In certain business processes, such as information support tasks and accounting, we use the service of reliable partners (processors of the data). When necessary, processors process your personal data and/or the data of your proxy in line with our instructions, while securing the appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
Pursuant to the legal requirements, we are required to enter your data into the e-Visitor central tourist registry system. The data from the e-Visitor system are used by the authorized state bodies in the Republic of Croatia (Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Tourism, Customs Administration, etc.) for the purposes as defined by the national regulations.
In special situations, as part of investigations and other official actions performed by authorised public bodies, we will be required to submit the requested data that we process (e.g., pursuant to a request by the Ministry of the Interior, Croatian State Prosecutor’s Office, competent courts, etc.).
The company does not forward your personal data to any recipients outside the European Union.
PERIOD OF KEEPING PERSONAL DATA
Marina Punat Hotel & Resort d.o.o. keeps data in accordance with the criteria stipulated in the legal regulations, or from obligations ensuing from contractual relations for hotel accommodation services.
The data we collect and process pursuant to your consent will be deleted immediately upon your retraction of that consent, unless there is another legal basis for further processing or keeping data.
The data we process pursuant to our legitimate interest will be kept in the minimum time period that is required to achieve the purpose of the processing.
RIGHTS IN PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
Depending on the legal basis and manner of processing, you have the following rights:
- Right to information about processing and access and copy data;
- Right to correct incorrect and/or supplement incomplete data;
- Right to delete data (if there is no longer a legal basis for their further processing or keeping).
- Right to restrict processing;
- Right to the transferability of data;
- Right of complaint against processing based on the legitimate interest of the company Marina Punat Hotel & Resort d.o.o.;
- Right to retract previously granted consent for data processing.
Right to complain to the supervisory body
If you believe that the processing of your personal data is contrary to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to file a complaint to the competent supervisory body.
